Meet Matt Henderson
Now a long-time coach in Las Vegas Matt’s instruction constantly evolves with cutting edge information and technology. His instruction not only incorporates science and modern techniques but support and wisdom from world renowned instructors. Matt has coached multiple Tour Players, Division One athletes and competitive juniors. He is also a coach to the people, delivering high level instruction, practice planning, and game improvement solutions to the average golfer.
Born and raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming Matt attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. After graduating he began his career in Instruction teaching with Dave Pelz. He would also spend time as the Assistant Men’s Golf Coach at the University of Tennessee. This diverse exposure has helped develop teaching methods to suit golfers of all levels.
Henderson is a Member of the PGA of America Certified in the Teaching and Coaching field. He carries advanced certifications from the Titleist Performance Institute. Since 2013, Matt has consistently been ranked among the top three teachers in Nevada and is currently listed by GolfDigest on the Best Young Teachers list and GOLF Magazine as a Top 100 Teacher to Watch. He is and eight-time PGA Award winner, including the 2021 Southwest Section Teacher of the Year.
Beautiful setting. VERY attentive! All his attention was on my son and instruction. No phone calls. No splitting his time amongst several students. Video of every stage. Very thorough. We’ll DEFINITELY be signing up for more lessons!
Each lesson builds on the last, not adding too much, giving the student the chance to refine the latest “Matt input” via range time. Explains the swing thoughts he’s working on with you very well.
Matt is a genius when it comes to understanding the golf swing (and I don’t throw the word “genius” around lightly). He is amazingly perceptive when diagnosing a problem, and very skilled at identifying the root cause. It is really mind-blowing. Even better is his way of explaining it in a way that makes sense to me, and giving me corrective drills to practice. I’ve worked with A LOT of instructors over the years, but Matt is by far the best. If you’re considering booking him for a lesson, I promise you won’t be disappointed.
His knowledge of the game and the ability to see the things I needed to work on in just the first session and give video and feedback right away shows why he’s a great coach. Excited and ready for more to come!

I’ve been working with Matt for about a year. It’s been a great experience. He has helped me make significant progress with my golf swing.
